Well I bought the med duty ones since I'm planning on going bumperless and just have the evo gate carrier. BUT here is all 4 mounted up with no changes in the rear and honestly it looks pretty level....

Although I don't have the spare on there yet so I'm thinking the weight of that is gonna drag it down

Initial test drive and flex test. 1 definitely need the spacers 2 definitely need to ditch the rear bumper.

I'm hitting the swaybar and links up front at a full turn. Good news is I think my uptravel is still spot on with my bumpstop shock combo.

The rear still has a lot of variables

Nice! How much bump stop are you running in the front?

That's the same problem I had with the medium duty... It leveled her out - even with the heavy bumper - but she was basically riding the bump stops. The heavy duty springs made it so sure wasn't so soft but if I had rear passengers or a full load of whatever, she rode the bump stops again. That's why I ended up adding the 1.75" spacers I had laying around - problem solved.

Because you're not going as heavy in the rear as I did, you may be happy with the HD springs with no spacers.

Oh I haven't put the OME springs in yet I still have the stock 4dr springs in there. No rear bumper no rear seats, the only weight I have back there is the spare tire so I'm hoping the med duty springs will be good enough.

2 hockey pucks + what ever the plastic bump stop is already on top of the pr44 my guess 3" but I can measure later. My limfac is the raised track bar bracket hitting the frame

Ahh, right, forgot the PR44 has the raised track bar... That's the final suspension mod I'm still debating. She handles great right now as far as I'm concerned, but I've got nothing to compare to. All the reading I've done says that the Jeep handles better when lifted if the track bar gets raised and the drag link gets flipped but I don't have an issue as far as I know. If I decide to do it, I'll have to modify the rear from the frame side drop bracket that on there already to properly match the roll center in front.

What I'm wondering is that if I do the raised track bar, will she handle better offroad? I mean, like I said, I don't have a problem now feeling off-balance or anything, but maybe it's just because I'm used to how she feels and I don't know what I'm missing... My concern is, I'm happy with the way she handles now and I don't want to fuck something up because Joe Blow on the internet says that's how it should be. 🤪

Ohhh... Sorry, I thought I read that you put the springs in already. Cool. Maybe you'll be good then. 👍

Nope not yet so if I get another 1" out of the med duty springs I think I will be golden once I put the spare back on.

Oh well I still have the track bar in the stock location. It has the raised bracket but I'm still using the lower hole (so to speak)

After my test drive I can definitely tell the front tires kick my steering wheel around alot more but I expected that with the much bigger tires and no steering upgrade. But so far I think I'm gonna pass on the DL flip

So the PR44 allows for the stock location as well? That's cool.

Yeah, when I upgraded my steering links it made a huge difference in steering and stability both on and off road. I highly recommend the Currie Currectlync setup (the $400 version, not the $1200 version) if and when you decide to upgrade.

Yup it's got 2 holes (phrasing) but I didn't want to cut it off in case I wanted to use it later.

Makes sense. Mine are all still original stock

So one thing I would like to mention after my test drive yesterday, I chose 4.88s on a hope that it wouldn't be too high for the 33s at the time and too low for 37s later. Ater driving it around yesterday I definitely understand why most people reccomend 5.13s for 37s. It feels a tad on the sluggish side with the 4.88s but overall I am still happy with my decision as I rely didn't want that small of a pinion in my d44s. So 4.88s are a good option but I can definitely see why most recommend 5.13

Sounds like you have some bump steer. Drag link flip and raised TB will cure that.

🤣🤣🤣🤣 I'm not the type that says "I told you so" so I'll just say "I warned you!"

Just be assured that they're totally worth the effort. 🍻

I'm not so sure at this point Haha. Granted IF I had a sawzall the job would be easier but just an angle grinder is a bitch. And of course i was being cautious thinking you can always cut more not less and my first few test fits I didn't cut off enough so I had to cut 3 Fucking times.... oh yeah 2.5 hours later 1 side cut....
