Where is the last chance to top off nearest to Loon Lake, coming from Tahoe?
Hitting the trail in a couple days. Leaving from South Lake Tahoe.

The closest gas station is a Chevron that's 4 miles west of Ice House Rd. but, there is a 76 station just west of Kyburz which is on the way to Ice House Rd. But, having said that, if you top off in South Lake Tahoe or Meyers, you can make the round trip no problem.

We gassed up at the 76 station. I had a half tank left when we got off the trail. We didn't do much playing around along the way but there was more than enough gas to do so. A tank was plenty of gas for our trip. Thanks again for the information.
