Yosemite National Park

Made my first trip to Yosemite on Sunday and got back two days ago. We had a great time and took a TON of pics. (Gave me an excuse to play with our new Rebel T4i) Please feel free to post up any pics you may have of the park that you have as well!

We walked up onto these guys grazing along the trail.


Hard to see in this image, but there are four herds that converged to graze in this meadow. There are quite a few bedded down in the tall grass and the whole time there were 4 doe(s) keeping their eye on us for the herds. Really cool to see!

Looks like a great trip. I want to get out there and see Yosemite one of these days.

Thanks everyone! All pics were taken with a standard IS lens and no editing(other than cropping). I'm hoping to learn more about HDR and image editing software. The camera was quite the setback and we don't even have a lens shade.

As for the lock boxes, there's one at every site in our campground(crane flat). I can't speak for the other sites within the park, but I'd assume that they have them as well for safety and liability reasons.

Looks like a fun trip! Great pic.

The bears in the park have been "ruined" by eating human food, they typically are afraid of humans till they get that first taste of human food then they are addicted. Also because there is no hunting in Nat. Parks the population is very high.....I keep a 44 mag close by!

Thanks guys. The bear thing did come to mind, but I wasn't sure if they were common in that area. How often would you see a bear when out camping/wheeling around Yosemite NP?

I've never seen any in Yosemite, probably cuz they are nocturnal but they are not hunted there so they are thick. I live just south in the Sierra Nat Forrest and I see quite a few
