We drove past Crystal Mountain on our way out of the park via the 123 to the 410 heading towards Greenwater...about 30 mins. This section of the 410 is also known as the Chinook Pass Hwy, which is closed every winter...it closes literally a stones throw away from the entrance of Crystal Mountain

That’s awesome. We went skiing at Crystal a few years back. That season they were shooting cannons to cause controlled avalanches and ended up taking out a ski lift. We were able to see Mt Rainier from the peak of Crystal. I would love to hike/jeep there in the summer one day!
