That's the FIRST color with body-matched top/fenders that I've been able to stomach the appearance of. Still don't like the matching pieces, but I do like the color. Flat would be better.

Everytime I look at this photo I can picture it with some steel wheels, tall skinny tires, and some military numbers and insignias on it.



I know, some of you guys and gals absolutely love this commando color and matching everything setup, but I'm having fun with it. :bleh:

I'm hoping that the commando color looks better in person. It'd be awesome if they offered a matt or flat version. I think the gloss makes the color a little weird.

That's my issue with it. It's a purposely dull color with a shiny clear coat? Looks bad, like a slimy amphibian or something.

I agree and I like your analogy! I personally think that the only thing that would save this color is the black top, flares and wheels (in addition to a lift and some big tires, obviously). When color matched it just looks like a big patch of wet moss!

Thanks for the update! Just another silver color... Silver and navy blue rank at the bottom of my list of wanted jk colors, and jeep releases both at the same time! They will add third and fourth-worst colors early next year with Rugged Brown and Furious Fuschia. Who the hell is calling the shots over at Jeep nowadays?

Dammit! That's not as dark as I was hoping. Now I have to decide whether to wait on a wing and a prayer to see if "Anvil" is actually going to be a late release dark gray.

One of my favorites was the 2010 dark charcoal color.... Hopefully they do something like that again.

Ya i agree.. i thaught that color was going to be darker. And i thaught it wasnt coming out till march 2013?
That Anvil color would be nice too. Ive always like the old TJ (grey) color... just my 2 cents.
