You'd be running really high rpm on 35s with 5.13s and the 3.6. I'm only going to 4.88 even when i do regear for my 37s. I know a lot of people go to 5.13s but here, not needed.

I have been running 5.13, 35s w/ an Auto 3.8 for 3 years. Drove tails in Moab, Colorado and run the jeep around town. Works great! Would not change a thing.

I installed 5.13s in my 2007 JKUR Auto with 35's. I bought enough specialty tools (case spreader, pinion gear puller, 20T press, etc) that I didn't save a lot of money but I wouldn't have it any other way!! I have about 5,000 miles on them with zero issues. Maybe I got lucky....

For me, Even with the 4.10s I had it was pretty miserable to drive with 35's. Not a race car with 5.13s but much better.

Off Road Evoluton 5.13 Regear package and C2 Gussests

Just got the 5.13 gear package special at Off Road Evolution for $999.99 plus tax and had them mount C2 Axle "C" gussets on stock Rubicon dana 44. Just went to 37" Good Year MTRs from 35" and 4.10s with the auto on a 2012 JKUR with 3.6L. MAJOR difference in performance and milage increased. Power band is back to normal and the ECO light comes on all the time now with no down shifting on hills. The 35s were livable with the 4.10s but the 37s pushed me over the top. The tranny started hunting for gears on even slight hills and it didn't do that with the 35s. $1300 out the door with tax and adding the axle gussets. Best money I have spent on the Jeep in a long time. Drove up from San Diego to do it. Done in a day. Drew and Mel are great guys and there was no BS. Also running the EVO coilover bolt on kit with Metalcloak short arms and Fox 12" front and 10" rear coilovers and 4 corner air bumps. I flex 37" under all four tires with swaybar unlocked using forklift. Jeep is almost there.

I went to 4 wheel parts today looking for answers and a cost on gears. I have 4.10's on my 2011 rubicon automatic and I'm running 35's. I told the guys I am looking at 5.13's what would be looking at on cost? $2000+ and they would recommend 5.38's. Would 5.38's be too much and is $2000 a little pricey for parts and labor?

Just one more reason to stay as far away from those jokers as possible. WAY too much money, and 5.38s are not even close to the right gear for 35s.

I went to 4 wheel parts just looking a couple of weeks ago. The sales guy told me I needed a 3.5 rubicon express lift and Teraflex is the Cadillac of lifts. I lost respect of them right there. I ordered the Evo Enforcer 3" yesterday.

5.38's might not be too bad. I looked at Eddie's sticky chart on gears vs tires 5.38's wouldnt be bad for 35's and would be a good choice for 37's if I go that route in the future. I'll keep looking for places to put the gears in. Anyone from Texas DFW area use Mike's Offroad?

Yeah, I'd go somewhere else. Lots of shops in my area though.

You should be able to find a place to do it for $1500 at least.

Those are just the lifts they're getting good kickbacks on. :yup:

I wouldn't recommend going 5.38's the pinion will become smaller and will be your weak point.

I have a 3.6 standard with 37s and 3.21s at the moment, just got a quote for 2500 all said and done with a air locker (lifetime warranty) and 4.88s as well as a new front carrier for my D30, i wanted 4.88s because i do a ton of driving on the highway and felt with the standard and 3.6 it will work well. now i just have to pick a day to bring it into the shop!
