Adjustable seat height question

I'm glad to see this question asked... I have to fix mine every couple of days. Will pay attention to exiting more as I'm almost 5'4" and do tend to slide off the seat when getting out!

I dont tend to use this other than on some trails where I need a little boost to see, so I put it right back down. Weird to see so many people having this issues tho.

Mine did the same thing but I figured it out, every time you get out the car you push down on it without knowing you're hitting it to jump off of the car. Little by little it goes down.

In with you, I only really use it when I'm wheeling and need to see a little better.

I haven't had this issue in my 08 or 15...

Only issue I have is when I get it back from the Stealership or a family member was driving... DON'T TOUCH MY SEAT ADJUSTMENTS!

Damn guys, I thought I was either going crazy or just too fat for the seat to hold me up. At least now I know I'm not crazy...lol.

You can remove the lever and reinstall it with it clocked down. That will lessen the chance of hitting it when you get in and out.

^^^^^^^^ Did this! A bit unnerving since most of it is plastic and it doesn't come apart easy, but got it done without breaking anything! I will post up some pics of the process.

I'm 6'4 so don't need the adjustment but found the handle was starting to pinch the seat when I got in and out so I just took it off permanently. You could probably set the adjustment and do the same so it doesn't change

Just confirming that after 4 days since adjusting the handle clocking it has stayed all the way up as it should. I was sliding across the handle upon exit which was bringing the seat down a noticeable amount after a few days.

Thank you both. I adjusted my lever and the seat hasn't moved since. Here are my pictures of before and after. I used a Dremel to remove the plastic tab on the lever (yellow arrow).

Thanks again.
