Good Sunday to everyone. First time caller long time listener. Purchased used 2020 JT couple years back with 1800 miles, with a dealer 2" Mopar lift, has 8400 miles now. Been to dealer for stop/start issue, on the way home stopped working (we don't like it anyway) fast forward 5 months and the other morning power steering stopped working, check engine light on, stability control light on, doesn't start on first push of button, need to push button 3 times quickly before it starts, had it towed to dealer. My question is is there a way to bypass stop/start feature permanently, heard about making a jumper at a distribution block? Had a JK in the past, retired heavy equipment mechanic welder, just a little background. Not trusting to go wheeling/overlanding by ourselves or burden a group knowing our issues. FYI very slow typer faster fabricator. Thank you in advance.
 
First, the ASS is a symptom and not the problem.

Generally what you're describing is the auxiliary battery is failing. Which if not handled soon enough will drag the main battery with it.

Yes, you can jumper around the auxiliary battery which in turn takes the ASS out of the equation.

If you remove the battery cables from the auxiliary battery, and then separate the other end from the main battery and tape the ends from the main battery up, then you jumper from N1 to N3 on the side of the fuse box (engine side not fender side) then you have removed the auxiliary battery from the system and in turn you lose the ASS.

Another way of doing this is by disconnecting the ground wire from the aux battery to the main battery and taping it off. Then, pull the F42 fuse and that's it! Aux battery is completely out of the equation.
