The Zeons are IP68 rated for being dust and waterproof, so that should at least help against the salt. And I was actually surprised how little plastic there is on these... they have a heavy cast metal body. They're well finished too, so I think the only real area you'll need to worry about corrosion from salt is on the aluminium fairlead and maybe the spool itself.

Thanks, looks like that would the best option for me.

I was on the fence about getting a synthetic line also. My PowerPlant came with steel line, so I waffled a bit on swapping it out. The final factoring decision for me was this: synthetic line does not conduct electricity. I have been wheeling during many-o-rainstorms with friends. Having a long steel cable in your hands when there is lightning in the area is not ideal.

I have a warn vr. I went that option because I only use mine once or twice a year and couldn't see spending over 1k on one. After about two years I haven't had any issues
