Cooper vs Nitto

Looks good!! You’ll love those tires. I had mine rotated and balanced today. I got them at 15,000 miles and now I have 60,000 and they still have decent tread left. They’ve lasted a good while.

They needed a shit ton of weight to balance. Not sure if it's the tires or my wheels, but I've never needed that much before. Anywhere from 7-11oz per tire.

Haha cant beat the price of that. My OCD wouldn't allow me to though. Plus I like to do a 5 tire rotation.
For me, the spare is for an emergency. I bought it when I went with 37s and since it's covered, I didn't care that it was a Cooper when I was running Nitto.

I figure since it's the same diameter, being an inch narrower will be fine until I get to America's Tire to take advantage of those certs. 😂

Yeah that makes sense. Yours is covered too do I think that would keep it from drying out and cracking.

Can’t got Saturday, unfortunately. Have some family and other commitments that day. But another opportunity will come along soon enough I’m sure. Have fun and be safe.

Bummer. Family first, though. 🍻

Hopefully I can get up there... I've missed the last few trips for one reason or another. Haven't hit a trail since the beginning of February.

Caught the Bug
When I bought my Nitto 40s from Discount Tire Direct I did not buy the certs. About 7 months after I got them I damaged a tire wheeling because I didn’t clearance the pinch seems enough. I called Discount Tire Direct and asked if they could match the price for which I had originally had bought them for as the price had gone up. He said they couldn’t but he could sell me the certs for that tire, and the other 4 tires, replace the damaged tire under the original cert and send me a new one and sell me a certs for the new tire, so 6 certs, which was still less than what the new tire would have cost if he would have priced matched what I had originally bought them for. I have replaced two additional tires since them and bought new certs for them as well. Well under $400 for three replacement 40” Nitto Trail Grapplers. I think it’s been worth it.

EDIT: I have also been honest all three times and have told them that they were damaged wheeling... sliced, chunked, sliced. No sidewalk failures
