I'm sure you'll be fine. Another trick while removing, if the press is tight and the ball joint isn't moving, while keeping pressure on the press, tap or hit the C on the side with a hammer. Sometimes that shock to the metal will free the joint and it will start coming out.

Thanks to all of the replies and advice here, it went pretty well. I’ll post a more thorough update in my build thread.

Overlander was spot on. The first side was awkward, a little weird but satisfying in the end. The 2nd side was just great. [emoji51]
