When I first heard the video above, that's what it sounded like to me. And it's not that uncommon on the 3.8L engine. Hopefully yours will be the cheaper route as well and just need a water pump.

As i see, after some research,you are right, it is not uncommon. But my engine doesnt sound as bad and mu mechanic said that replacing the bearings will probably be ok. I hope my cranckshaft is not shot!
