I'm going to do this install tomorrow and I've read through the Project-JK installation instructions and I can't figure something out. Why do u jack the transfer case up if the skid mounts on the stud? Any insight would be appreciated.
Pretty sure the reason is to give you enough room to maneuver the skid into place between the case and the exhaust crossover. It's pretty tight and without jacking up the case, I'm sure sure you could slip in the skid.
