Evo Mfg Gen 2 Rock Sliders??

Fuck me its on the wrong side. Now do I have a shop cut it off? Just weld the other side on and say screw it?



 
Huh on further inspection I think I got em right. Got to stop stressing while I wait for my welder to cool down.
 
I don't have these but I've never seen anything on all of the reviews and install write ups referring to 'make sure to get the left vs right correct'. I'm sure someone that knows will chime in.

These don't have a left and right do they? I welded in the passenger side and they not exactly straight. I tried floor jacks and clamps and couldn't get it exactly flush up in the frame rails. See how the front sits out a bit? Hope I didn't weld the wrong one one......

If you measure out the feet, all three are different sizes, I believe the front ones on the front are the longest. I don't think you would be able to mount them Backward if you tried. The feet are also spaced differently. yours are mounted like mine so either we are both wrong or both right, 50/50% chance lol.
 
Yep, they're on there right. The driver side matched up perfect. Passenger side is a little out at the front, but whatever. I just finished up the welding (and got a lot better at it in the process) and painted the feet.

They are left and right side specific. Looks like you got the correct one on the correct side. The rear of the slider should have a further overhang from the support to the frame rail.
 
What are all of you doing with these holes in the feet of the sliders? ImageUploadedByWAYALIFE1464461207.108153.jpg
I plan on plug welding these to fill them in and seal them up to keep water from getting in behind the welds. Why does EVO put these in there? They are not supposed to be bolted on, so why go to the effort of punching them in there? Or is it for extra support offered by plug-welding them up? What do you guys think?

When I had them installed the shop did rosette welds in the holes and then of course a weld around the perimeter of the feet.
 
Come back to life ! Quick question anyone on here have the angled sliders. Thoughts on them or should I just go with the regular ones?

Gen1 angle sliders here but the exact same otherwise. They work well as a step and help keep stuff away from the body better IMO

Running low angle for step and additional extra clearance. And for both reason I usually recommend the low angle version. [emoji106]

They are side specific. The two "closer feet" go towards the back. Looks right in the pic you posted.
 
I like how tucked in the regular ones are although it is tough to get a toe hold unless the door is open to climb up.
