Fender deletes Pros and Cons

I'm considering adding a DV8 Fender delete kit.
I worry that I will get a lot of road debris in the winter months with these, has anyone gone this route? I haven't found any reviews.Jeep-Gladiator-JT-Fender-Deletes-Installed-04_2000x1334.jpg

Me personally, I think those look terrible and they won't do you any good other than adding clearance. If it's clearance you're after, I would trim up the look of the factory flares by removing the inner black liner and keeping the factory painted upper portion and with adding something like this:

I like the looks of them in pictures. When I see it in person though it looks awful.

I noticed a large increase in crap thrown on the sides going from stock to more narrow after market fenders. I imagine going with no fenders would be even worse.

Fenders were invented for a reason. They are there to control/deflect mud, gravel, and water thrown up by the tires. Controlling the crap is good for your own Jeep, as well as nearby/passing vehicles.

The fenders in the photo don't seem very functional.

In some states fenders, and fender coverage over the tread of the tire, are required and so doing this may result in tickets if you plan on driving it on public roadways.
