So I’ve always heard people say it’s to far away, and I can tell you that it’s not, either way i had to open a door being I was outside, the roll bar makes it very accessible, sure if you were flying out of your drivers seat it might be faster being mounted at your feet, but if you’re outside the vehicle I don't think it really matters, it’s more important that it’s accessibleI have to admit, I currently don't have one. In the past, I have used a rear roll cage mount but, I didn't like how "far away" or "inconvenient" it felt. So I'm just waiting for @wayoflife to make a better one for me to buy
Agree that it was accessible but was still awkward and, having a quick release compared to annoying Velcro straps would have been better.

That's how I've always done it, on the c-pillar of my Jeeps. Just wasn't sure how to do that well with all the plastic cladding on the JL and JT now.
Having one close at at would be optimal but on a JL or JT and all the extra plastic everywhere, there's very little real estate for even a compact one. There are options out there that I've started looking at but have no idea if or how well they actually work.I have to admit, I currently don't have one. Now this ^^^ is one of the options that I was looking at but I would probably need to buy one and test it out to see if it actually works.
Yup, what you were told is right. ABC will ruin your engine even if you can save it from a fire. BC is really what should be used on your Jeep. ABC is always good to have for around camp or on the trail to help put out an unintentional brush fire.

Yea for sure, bit of an older pic, but I have half of the plastic gone due to my roof rack mount, but it actually stays put pretty good with the plastic. But I do feel like the strap is tighter on the metal side of the mount. Can’t recall what the back of the bar on the JT looks like tho.
I was looking at those as well. Does it rattle? I am thinking about putting mine on the rear cage/C pillar by the rear drivers side door in the Gladiator. I have my fridge on a platform where the 40% seat used to be, so no need to worry about someone hitting their head on it.
I expect that the Element extinguisher works "fine", but with three major concerns. 1) The number on the product is how many seconds it runs. 2) Once it is started, there is no way to stop it. 3) Once it it is used, you have to buy a new one.
