Be careful. Engines that use direct injection are insanely high pressure. I think my 08 Audi was over 2500psi.

yeah, I had spill mat around the quick disconnect and removed the gas cap (I don't think it did anything for pressure relief) since I couldn't access the Schrader valve to relieve the pressure but luckily it wasn't too bad.

I wish I knew how to make the pump run continuously, that sucker pushes out fuel fast but all in all it didn't take too long. I'm happy it wasn't much worse.

To make the fuel pump run continuously you need to remove the fuel pump relay, make a wire with spade terminals the same size as the relay, and then plug them into the female terminals for power to pump in the relay socket. This will bypass the ECU control of the relay and the pump will run until you remove the wire.

This is what I have done on other vehicles, I haven't done it on the jeep yet since I haven't needed to.
