Is Windows 10 worth the upgrade?

That's all I have to offer, if I recall we had some slight integration issues at a couple sites. But it was a smooth process once it was figured out.

Caught the Bug
'Free' is relative. You do still have to initially acquire a license. That cost is normally buried in the price of the new PC you buy. 'Upgrades' moving forward are now no-cost. MS has decided the OS is ubiquitous and no longer a key revenue making differentiator. In line with that, they have adopted a model similar to Apple's. You do pay for the OS when you buy the device (phone, PC, laptop, etc.). But upgrades no longer carry a cost.

Windows 10 is free till July 29th 2016.

If you're annoy of the update reminder, remove KB3035583. You can google how to remove Windows Updates to remove this.

You can also revert back to your previous operating system after installing Windows 10.
