Jabberjaw

Does your Garmin get signal inside like that? Mine does not.
My Garmin Montana gets a good GPS and InReach signal. I have it mounted to a 67 Designs short arm. The only complaint I have with the mount is that the GPS vibrates wildly when driving the wrong speed on washboarded roads.

Looks great! For what scenarios do you notice the most benefit? Is there much benefit on normal (semi-rough) streets?
Actually haven’t had it off road yet, but it drives far better on the street (both around town and on the freeway). I should get it on the dirt next weekend.

Jabberjaw is about to hit 64K miles on the original batteries. Recently I’ve been getting an “Auxiliary switches temporarily unavailable battery charging” when I start her up. The switches are typically available after 2-3 minutes of run time and my voltage at the gauge pretty consistently stays at 14.0V.

So what say you? Am I bumping up against the need to replace both batteries or is it some other gremlin?

That’s how mine first started.

I’d say it’s time for both batteries.

Exactly what mine did. Dealer replaced both batteries and it fixed it.

As mentioned by other do both batteries. I ran like that for about a year till I bit the bullet.
