Jeep Chewbacca groan noise?

Mine makes the same noise, has done it since it was new. If you have aftermarket pads does the noise go away?

The thing about it was it started day 1 so the dust corrosion theory makes me wonder

You're right- The sound I was thinking of is more like a dragging/scraping sound that goes away after braking. The creaky/groan noise I can replicate at a stop every time & agree with all the others that it's probably just a jeep thing. I'm guessing it's a non-issue w/a manual trans

I have this Chewbacca brake noise on a 2017 and did a search on here for the same problem. Had to respond to this funny comment though. [emoji38]
