Jk Half doors

I also have the Zebra doors and, like Hinrich, have mixed reviews on them but for different reasons. Although they look great, I have had to get two replaced and the latches repaired. They have all busted after some use.

Also, being that they are thermaplastic, they did shrink on me. I was in Lake Arrowhead one time and because it got so cold at night, the doors shrunk and I could not get them open. We had to end up crawling through the window Dukes of Hazard style.

Those Savvy doors look nice.

I gave Savvy a call, and the gentleman I spoke with said they want to show a half door with top at Easter Jeep Safari. Their current door

can't be modded to work with Rugged Ridge's soft tops

because "the rail is wrong". Bummer.

I want a half door for Easter Jeep Safari, and waiting to score with Savvy may not pan out, so I'm thinking of purchasing tube doors for EJS and then sell them when Savvy's doors are ready. Is there a market for slightly used tube doors (assuming I haven't ****ed them up)?

I'm sure you'd have no trouble unloading used tube doors. Get the Element doors and I'll buy them from you. :D

I could be wrong, but I don't believe the doors can be purchased complete anymore. My vague recollection is that you must order them part by part and then put them together.

In early 2012 when I was looking at half doors the stealership told me that you had to buy the door and internals seperate, then pay someone to properly set the locking mechanism and put them together. Total quote was some where in the 5k range.

They can be purchased complete or how you want them.........they are super expensive and do not come painted......they also can be purchased assembled.........I love the look but the price to me is a deal breaker........I personally plan to go with Rugged Ridge half doors.......they look pretty sweet on GCM's Beastly rig :thumb:

I ran my uppers most of the weekend. While I have not taken the time to fit them perfectly they were fitted enough to do their job. They were a bit noisy, but blocked the wind on the hwy to get the family to the trail without any complaints. :thumb:

Edit: and they didn't cost anywhere near $4K.
