Loss of power when cimbing any grade

My buddy just purchased his 2014 Ruby with a manual transmission, and is having extremely bad torque issues when climbing the smallest of hills. It acts as if it has no power at all and eventually bogs out and dies. What could possibly be causing this issue. Thanks for any advice.

Like it goes into limp mode? Bring it to the dealer since it's under warranty.

ESP issues? Have you upgraded to bigger tires?

No its stock tires. And yes when it bogs out it is just complete dead pedel.
Even when you depress the cluch it does not remain stable and dies instantly.
