Smokey will be back with me on Thursday. I don't think I'm going to drive this far with him yet. I could change my plans though. :)

Bring smokey!

Glad to see your going, I told Lenny we should camp far right (before the creek) or across the creek and far left.

We'll be in late, so I'll know where to look.

Pretty sure, no fires allowed. In fact, you need a permit to use a gas stove and lantern.

We should call the Blackrock Ranger Station to confirm this. I'll have to find the number.

Just checked with them and there is no fires allowed even with a camp fire permit. You are right about the gas stove and lantern though needing a permit. I just got a permit online tonight. :thumb::brows:

Also glad your going Mooch! See ya guys friday night!!!

I have a gas fire in a can that I can bring. It should be OK to use. I will check with the Ranger tomorrow.

The new engine is awesome! So much easier to pass cars now. :) This trial run had a couple of issues though. While I was climbing up a very steep grade with over 100 degree temperatures, it was starting to over heat. We are working on this problem now. I also had to remove my center console because the gear selector linkage became disconnected from the cable. Easy enough to fix but, not fun to do.

It sounded really good when were into the gas passing people.
