If your interested in chopping your fenders I'm sitting on a stock 4 door Rubicon springs and shocks front and rear running 33s, after the bumper, winch and a few months of settling im at about 1 1/8" lift and it drives exactly like stock. Mine sits a hair nose low though but I'm gonna fix it all later when I can make the jump to 37s

The 2.5 inch puck kits are rather popular in my area. Most of the mall crawlers here are running the pucks with 35s. I drove a friends yesterday and it rode very well. If you are only wanting 33s with a little more clearance, I would go with the pucks or flat fenders. When I switched to flats, it gave the appearance of a small lift but never changed anything with the suspension. I could probably find a pic of mine on 33s with flats if you want. Just let me know.

Edit: It helps to proof read.

I say skip the 33's and go right to 35's.

Here is my Jeep back on a 2.5" lift and 35's w/ stock fenders

Here it is with cut fenders

And if you want to go 3" here is cyoung16 Jeep with his newly installed 3" evo enforcer w/ 35's and full fenders. It rides amazing and I think smoother than my coilovers
