Need tire advice - heavy 35s or lighter 37s

I just did it. 67lb 35” to a 71lbs 37” and I’ll take the 37” all day! I do 90% rural driving unless going to a trail once a month and here in the high altitude I don’t mind it at all. I’m running 3.73 gears and stock Dana 30...plans are in the works for new front axle, gears, and steering components but if you keep an eye on your wheeling habits and use some caution you can delay some of these projects. Still takes a lot to run a 4” lift with 37’s but I’ve already taken care of what I feel the “necessary” things are.

Biggest factor with me is the braking distance. Jeep isn’t racing anyone so as long as you don’t expect a lot then stay in the slow lane and cruise. Nobody expects a big ass Jeep to be doing 90mph on the interstate ha. I’m not sure what this hydro assist stuff is but can’t miss what you don’t have and my steering seems just fine.
