Mud and high water are the only things that need attention IMO. So long as you arent trying to crawl big obstacles in high gears.

I feel 1st gear in 4lo (rubicon) is a bit to slow for deep water crossing. I get a better "bow wake" in 2nd. But it also depends how much throttle you fancy, and the river bed terrain... aside from that, staying off the clutch as much as possible is solid advice, and may take a long time manual driver a little while to get used to. Unless you let it dip under 500rpm or so, it most likely won't stall. And a quick flick of the starter will get things moving again. So while learning, erroring on that side seems to cause less wear and tear on drivetrain components.

Wondering about the comments of restarting the jeep without pushing the clutch if it stalls out. My 6 speed won't start without without the clutch pressed. Are the rubicons set up different or are guys bypassing this interlock switch?
