Got a bunch done on the receiver for the trailer. Ended up putting a support off the back and capping the bottom also.

You know, eventually you will leave the house with your trailer and not come back...I’ve had that feeling a couple times...
I’m mean I wouldn’t be that upset about it! I get that same feeling…. I even talk to my wife about it often.

I couldn’t stand the jacks being in with all the gear. So I figured this would be a great way to keep them accessible and out of the way.

That’s a good idea. I’ve pondered a place to mount mine as well. Right now I keep them tied down on top of a tote. Not ideal but they’re at least readily accessible when I first get to camp

With mine being a open top trailer, I didn’t want them rubbing on the dry bags our gear is in. Plus it makes it a bit easier with each jack being in the corner it’ll go on for leveling.

In my battle with these silly springs, not holding their advertised weight. I bought this stuff and filled the voids in the springs with it. With any luck it’ll keep them from collapsing on themselves.

I’m having high hopes for this two part silicone RTV stuff. I put some in a sealed bag to see how it dried. It’s got a good spring back to it but yet is still solidish. The springs are probably ready to go back in. But I’m going to let them set for one more day, just to be sure.
Another fun fact it appears the 1200 lbs and 2000lbs springs are actually the same. No wonder they both acted the same on my trailer.

Got the springs back in the trailer. Should have the wheels back on and on the ground tomorrow.

I got a little more ambitious this evening then I thought I would. Got it back on the ground and put the spare back on. It seems good so far. Going to take it on a few test drives before our next trip.

Only about 20 miles on the modified springs so far. Took it over some fairly rough stuff and hasn’t lost any hight. Going to do some road miles before it’s next trip, that will be around 700 miles.
