Yeah you don’t need that pin trick. The problem most people have is they install the plunger after installing the carrier. That doesn’t work. The plunger needs to be installed first, then you put in the carrier. As long as you insert the carrier straight, the plunger head will end up where it needs to be: inboard of the locker ring.
