Cobra's have Uniden boards and parts in them...just different cabinets and names....at least all the ones I have worked on.....

So uniden is the better choice? I had the cobra lx29 and was comparing it to the bearcat 880.

There basically the same ..both good radios. .it all depends on what you want in looks and features. ....you can do a lot of mods on both of them.. and you can make them VERY LOUD radios...

Been running peaked and tuned.Stock radio with 5watts plus an extra 500 for good times.57 plus channels
