Pinion nut removal

I know this is a helluva thread resurrection, but how the hell do I get the pinion nut off without access to power tools or monkey wrench? Transfer case side came off no problem.

Trying that with a pipe on the breaker and it’s bending the pipe. Lol. PITA!

Finally got it. Pinned a 4x4 on the brake pedal with the drivers seat while me and my brother pulled the breaker bar. That sucked.

Nice. I used a large pipe wrench on the yoke then turned until the handle contacted sometuing, cant recall what but maybe control arm, and then just cranked the hell out of the breaker bar on the pinion nut.

Yeah I’m sure it looked hilarious when we were trying to break it. I had both feet on the opposite side control arm when I pulled, and my brother was pushing with both feet on the tire. [emoji23]
