I say they missed an opportunity.
set disaster type centers around the US and make everyone on snap re-apply in person.
Also make deductions based on the car they drive and how new their phone I'd (was it free with service or not).
if it was up to me, they'd all be using old flip phones.

It all adds up. It’s like all the Gov organizations that have a few hundred thousand dollars or 1-3 million dollars that must be spent before the end of the Fiscal Year. Total waste. 38 trillion dollars happened exactly that way. A few million at a time.

Check out what the State Department spent on foreign aid prior to Trump. Billions of dollars- but it’s less than 1% of the budget per year is what we were told.

If you go to a financial planner they scrutinize every expenditure not just the big ones.

All Fed Gov waste must stop. Other than the 18 enumerated functions of the Fed Gov everything must be stopped.

makes my blood boil every time I hear a politician stating "it's less than 1% of..." they purposely keep increasing it so they can hand out more to their donors and other bullshit so they can continue to state "it's less than 1%"
 
Need to start with the small expenses that add up to large ones before you can go at the super large expenses. It’s no different than cancelling a subscription to say Netflix first to save money before cutting out your food expenses

If the government would stop giving so much money away, then our country's financial health would be so much better. Quite a lot goes into "entitlement" programs, which were never funded, or were known to be Ponzi schemes from the start. The Constitution needs to be amended to prohibit deficit spending.
