3d printers are very affordable these days. You can get a printer that can print in some heavy duty materials for less than 300 bucks. There are multiple free CAD programs now if you want to take it even further and create your own parts. I haven't made any "jeep" parts yet, but it's just a matter of time. For example, I lost one of the bushings for my door hangers, and while looking for a replacement I stumbled on this.

What began the decline was switching from the old bias ply to the radial tires. Used to have to baby those old tires - if you were smokin them in the turns you were gonna wear them out quick. Next up was abandoning the showroom car templates. Then they build all the dumbass cookie cutter 1.5 mile ovals everywhere. They abandoned their base in the South and tried to be the next trendy thing and pissed off all of the old fans that built the sport.


The only badass thing that happened in NASCAR for the past 25 years is what this crazy fucker did riding the wall at Martinsville - this was so over the top even the other drivers were in awe of what he did.
