Is there a need for hi lift if I have winch? Do you guys still use them often?

They get good reviews in general. But the one that fourwheeler mag tested in shootout was DOA. That goes with what you said earlier on quality control.

I bought my Engo and shoot out helped me narrow my decision. Engo seemed to fair pretty well.

Thats what I'm going with...will 9000 lb be ok for jku?

The JCR bumper I ordered says it holds most winches up to 9500. Why 9500? How do they get that value?

I got the E9000. I would assume so. I got the steel cable. They do have the E9000s syn. cable. I would look into that. Not much more.

You might also want to look into a recovery kit with an added snatch block. I found a reasonable one by Rugged Ridge. Check Amazon and save some bucks!

I have probably used my hi lift more than my winch. Changed 3 tires on vehicles on one trail.
