Sahara fender trim

I know there is a thread somewhere but I can't find it. Trimming the painted fenders on a Sahara do I need to do anything different than unpainted fenders ?
Or would it be better to find some unpainted fenders and cut those?

Use a fine tooth blade.

Tape off your lines on the "keep side" of the fender, and use a rotory (dremmel, etc) and go slow and steady. Razor blade/Block sand/drywall rasp to clean up and finish the edges, remove tape, drink beer
