And here is my current view as I sit on the side of a mountain and write this. I'll update again tomorrow with more adventures!

Awesome thread Scott! The pic we really need is his face after the wife kicked him out of the car at the airport. :cheesy:

Camped in the hammocks last night. Overall they worked really well. I think I just need to get used to sleeping in a hammock.
The view is taken looking out the hammock.

Did a little fishing on Slide Lake with a beautiful sunrise. Came down Slide Lake later in the morning. Muddy but nothing challenging. Grabbing a bite to eat at High Mountain Pies before going N to fish the Gold Metal Water of the Arkansas River.

OK, drove up Halfmoon Creek last night. Pretty straight forward except for one awesome obstacle. I tried to take it on and got stuck. Got some help from another guy who coached me down and then took the bypass which has challenges of its own. Super relieved to make it to the top at 13,000'. Got some amazing pics on my buddy's DSLR camera of the stars last night so the best pics will come once the trip is over. Most relieved to have made it back to the road. In Buena Vista now, getting some lunchbox before continuing on to Cottonwood Pass and Taylor Pass.

Totally stole the picture of the campfire and am now using it as my iPhone screensaver. :)
