Side mirrors with doors off

I read an article suggesting to make a trip to a local Pep Boys to buy two auxiliary mirrors that can be attached to the open door pin holes when the doors are off. I did and after about $30.00 spent, I attached the mirrors. The problem is that the chrome tubing shafts are just too thin and the mirrors shake when driving. So, my next trip was to the local hardware store where I bought two feet of galvanized pipe. A little hammering, grinding, drilling, and painting later, the shafts are longer allowing for a much better viewing angle, and the mirrors do not wobble at all. Cost at the hardware store was $4.00 (I had spray paint). This is a well worth while project with great result.
