I noticed I got a slip yoke as me and my friend where doing work underneith my jeep wrangler tj rubicon 2004, I bought my jeep used from a dealer who had no idea what has been added or not to this jeep. I thought slip yoke eliminaters where only needed for lifts. My wrangler is not jacked up. So why would the previous owner add this? And what exactly does a slip yoke do?

Just so that we're both on the same page, are you saying that you your TJ Rubicon has a slip yoke or a fixed yoke as in, the slip has been eliminated? Because, if I recall correctly, TJ Rubicons came with fixed yokes and if that's what you're seeing, that is normal.

OK I am confused, in the title you say "slip yoke eliminator" but in the message you say "I got a slip yoke" so do you or don't you? LOL

Seriously the Rubicon package did not have the slip yoke, it has the flange you see on your jeep today so no worries!
Go out and have some fun!
