Hi all
Been thinking about to buy this skid because it is cheap and simple to get for me. My shop can only offer this.
My problem
I´ve read that some people have clearance problems. That the differential does hit the bracket that is bolted to the engine mount when driving around. Not sure if it was only with rubicon and therefore the bigger dana44 diff. I have dana30.
I also do not know if it is because of maybee a faulty installtion of the skid.
Anyone here that can confirm if this skid does work or not? I have jks quick disconnect that I of course would like to be able to take off for more flex and maybee that could be a problem?
I´ve been thinking now for a long time to buy this skid so I was actually going to pull the buy button tonight, but just before that I was doing some extra research if the skid does work on a 2012+ year model and then I saw some post about those clearance problems.
I´ve not heard so many fancy things about "shittybilt" but a rock hard or evo protek system will be to expensive to get here to sweden. I can live with having a smittybilt skid under my jeep but it must fit corrrectly.
Best Regards
