They grow up so fast

Well I finally dropped the JK off to get the lift kit installed that I bought months ago. So after working from 730am to 5pm I drove the 4 and a half hours from Milwaukee to Eau Claire, WI to drop off my JK at Max-Bilt Offroad. Phil is a great guy who I've had the pleasure of dealing with since I first made the journey to check out the shop. So after him coming in to work at 9pm on Sunday to meet me, and me actually arriving at 945pm we were ready to get the ball rolling, and I was ready to make the 4 hour trip back home to go to work the next day. :naw:

They have some awesome builds if you guys ever saw them up at EJS.

So right now it's getting a Teraflex Elite 4 inch LCG long arm kit with some Elka resevoir shocks, speed bumps and a Evo Drag link flip kit.

After a slight hiccup, mainly me forgetting to put my wheel lock tool in the jeep  and a quick trip to Advanced auto parts they were able to get the ball rolling.

And the good stuff, getting to some cutting.

Lookin good so far. Thats some dedication, drivin all that way. Lookin forward to your results. Ive said it many times, but I love watching them grow up. Its love how they look when they come out. I dropped off my sad state of a Jeep and picked up what looked like a brand new Jeep.

If you can't walk my beat unarmed, maybe you should consider becoming a police officer.

You going to get new driveshafts? I bet you will have close to 6" of lift when its all done. Those teraflex kits run huge!

Wow your lucky I'm jealous cant wait to drop mine off to Evo not till after I buy the house and upgrade my wife's kitchen

I'm getting new shafts. There is a local shop that makes them for tractor pulls and has a pretty good reputation in the area, so he's building them. Both of them together with Spicer U-joints should come in below $700 so I'm willing to take the chance since it's the same guy who builds all the driveshafts for the shops rigs.

The lift itself is on, but they found a leaky axle seal and worn u joint that need to be replaced. It can never be as simple as an in and out, I swear. :naw: A little more work to do and waiting on new drive shafts now.
