Tips for removing these decals

Caught the Bug
Peanut butter works good. Smear it on, let it set in the sun and a half hour later, wipe it off.

So, pulled them out and cleaned with Goo gone, rubbing compound, unfortunately on the side that it was peeling, it looks like the adhesive mixed with wax and dirt, nothing has worked. Any ideas before I go the plasma cutter way??

After I removed the factory stickers I used WD40 for the stuck on dirty adhesive and what that didn't take off, I used a towel filled with water and ran it in the microwave to get it really hot. You need some gloves that are heat resistant to handle the really hot towel but it got the rest of the crud off. It worked but it did take a couple of passes.
