Awesome! Any chance you could post up a pic of what you did? I get guys asking about this and I'd love to refer them to what you did.Installed today. Had to drill a hole in the mount for my Mopar Tri-Fold Tonneau cover. Other than that, it was an easy install and works great.
@wayoflifeSimply put, I pulled the passenger side tonneau cover rail off. I folded the tonneau cover up so I could reach one bolt on each side that mounts the tonneau cover to the side rails. Then I lifted the tonneau cover off the rail. I removed the one bolt from the rail goes forward into the front of the bed. There are two small bolts along the passenger side rail the secure the side. Once those three bolts are out, the rail comes right out. The tonneau cover rail only has one bolt hole in the front. I took the Wayalife antenna mount and layed it up against the mounting plate for the tonneau cover rail to mark where to drill the needed second hole. Was simple to drill it. I had to remove a Rivnut that was in the top hole but that was easy with a step bit and drill. Bolting up the assembled Wayalife antenna mount was super easy, basically hold it in place and install the bolts. Then I re-installed the tonneau cover side rail and tonneau cover. Very sturdy mount. I had received a LED whip light for Christmas and used this mount to put it on my Gladiator. Very, very sturdy. I'll post pics showing the installed mount. The bottom bolt in the pick of the mounting plate is where the hole needed to be drilled.

This is why I prefer to do all my installs. Well on things I can do anyway. If there are any questions or clarifications needed, I can help. It was easy. Plus I have wanted to tinker with the tonneau as it has always leaked since new. Come to find out the tech that installed it must have torqued everything to 100 ft pounds and bent up all kinds of stuff.
I bought a Jeep off the lot that had a lot of accessories already installed. I don't think the dealer realized half of what was in boxes in the bed as most were not on the sticker. Mopar HD floor mats, doors off mirror kit, full soft top kit (was on sticker). etc. I do all my own work except for the most technical that needs specialty tools or to be done inside a shop as I work in my driveway. Grew up in the 80's building our own cars and toys from the junk we found laying around. Great way to learn to fix stuff when you're out in the bush and someone breaks something. This is why I prefer to do all my installs. Well on things I can do anyway.
Sounds like me. At 12yo my buddy and I gathered up a bunch of old lawn mowers, small engines, dirt bikes and things and got a lot of them running...haha.I bought a Jeep off the lot that had a lot of accessories already installed.
