What Rears do I Have???

When my girlfriend bought me my JK iwas under the impression it just had the usual dana 30's with 3:21 gears. i ordered diff covers and they won't fit. So I called the dealer today with my VIN and the guy told me I had a 186 front and a 226 rear both with 3:73 ratio...

i was excited to hear about the better gearing.

but, WTH is a 186 and a 226????:thinking:


anyone know?

Well, if you really want to be embarrassed, there's never been a Dana 30 rear axle - only a Dana 35. Of course, I'm just ribbin ya now

i ordered the 35, maybe it will work on my neighbors jeep
