I just ordered the ARB 50 quart, thanks gang for all the help. Still looking at all the ways to mount it securely in my Rig.

I bought the ARB tie downs. The metal handle hooks are sweet, but they don't work if you're using the little JK floor loops. I found it easier to use a pair of short 1" cargo straps loops through the handle. Now if you do a slide or mount on a drawer, then the ARB tie downs would be nice.

Securely as don't want it stolen, or securely as in don't want it to move around. You can use some lashing straps for the latter.

A couple of us run cable bike locks through the handles then the seat frame if that is what you're referring to. Mounting...You can use nearly use any straps or webbing. There is also a hard mount via the rubber feet.

while mine isn't strapped down i do tie it down when i am heading off on a off road trip ................ i also have a bike cable lock that lives on it 24/7 as it remains in the jeep, my cover solution for it has been to toss my sleeping bag over it as my camping gear lives in the jeep full time only coming out when the need arises to use the rear space for something else ...

I use two turnbuckles and two, one foot sections of coated chain. Works great and its a quick install and removal. Turnbuckle mounts to the floor loop, chain around the handles, to the turnbuckle, then hand tighten.

IMG_4706.jpg Am I the only guy running the 60? I'm glad I went big. We can put 3 gallons of milk in, all of our meats, jellies, fruits, wine (bottles standing up straight), cider, and a couple jugs of water. I recently had to work in a Vegas casino for 16 days. Rolled my fridge into my room fully loaded and had affordable food the whole time! I LOVE this fridge!!!!!

I think the most important thing to get your fridge to be happy in the jeep is to make sure you have at least 12, if not 10 gauge wire to power it. The factory jeep outlet in the back is not adequate. Here's a pic to illustrate the point: IMG_4695.jpg the bigger wires in the pic are the ARB wiring kit wires.

We are stoked on our 50qt. Our last trip was 6 days with plenty of food. 50qt fits better in the back of the jeep. When we bought ours two years ago, we were amazed at how much extra space the cooler had when you don't need ice!
