What was done to your rig this week?

This week I installed the dynomax rock crawler exhaust and a superchips flashpaq. Paired with my K&N CAI, these made a world of difference in the little 3.8L V6. :clap2:

Caught the Bug
Drove 1300 miles to hook up with friends and watch a little race in the desert.

Gave her a bath after the trip, sold the LOD rear bumper/tire carrier, reinstalled the factory hitch, touched up a few dings with paint, and got a lot of the rear quarter panel dent out.

Nothing major, but all good stuff.

I love your "NotCal" sticker! Sure wish I was NotCal also!

Nice! How did you end up getting that dent out? I need to clean the outside yet but the inside of my rig looks cleaner then it did when I bought it.

Pulled the tail light and used a few "probably not the best choice" tools to push the sheet metal out. :cheesy: Cracked the paint a bit but that will be covered by the skins anyway.

What does your front bumper camera hook to? Interesting Idea.

I have never run a front license plate in the year I've had my Jeep. I drove to Destin FL and never had any issues so I haven't worried about it but I like your idea of clipping it to the fairlead. Does it stay at 70/80 mph? :thumb:

First, yes the plate mount stays put. It is very well built and takes quite a bit of pull to even remove!

The front and rear cameras hook up to this:
Its an awesome setup... the monitor is a waterproof, shockproof, LED back lit, outdoor viewable monitor. Perfect for a jeep!! The site is rearviewsystems.com

They have awesome setups. The cameras are IP69k rated so you can literally hold a pressure washer directly to them with no risk of ingress, and they are even heated! The company usually sells to industrial uses, but they were excited about my setup on a jeep! Awesome customer service. I have four cameras, but have only installed the front and rear so far. My original inspiration was honestly because I have two small kids and was afraid of not seeing them in the driveway. I have it setup so I can view any or all cameras at any time. I usually have the rear cam always on. Oh, and they have built in infrared lights too.

I attached an extra power socket setup to the back of the monitor as the pics show. Hard wired under dash. The device left of my monitor is a touchscreen trunking scanner.

I detailed the interior to get rid of the evidence of the scumbags and KOH dust. Tomorrow morning I am going to try and get the exterior detailed.

Broke the plastic bushing on the 4wd shift linkage. Totally sucked!!! Got it fixed with a zip tie until I can't get some replacement bushings.

Nice!! Cant wait to see them on!:thumb:

Thanks Ray! I'm excited!

Thats awesome!! Cant wait to see your jeep rolling around town with these:thumbup:

Thanks!

Right on! Finally get to see those Walkers mounted up! Sweet. Looks like you went with the Nitto TG's?

No kidding!! And my coilovers, LOL! I can't wait! 😎

I found a smoking deal on some 35" TG's. I wanted 37's, but I think this is a better place to start. Considering all the other stuff I need to buy...

Sweet! If u choose to upgrade there will be no shortage of folks that will be quick to snatch those up from you.

Do you have coilovers waiting to be installed too? Damn I'm jealous. Perhaps a debut at S&G?

Yeah... EVO Bolt-On coilovers. I don't think the install will be done by then. My wife's birthday is this coming weekend so I won't be working on the rig... I'm thinking the weekend of the 23rd. Maybe the March S&G.

Love plugging in the block heater the easy way for a warm ride to work at oh-dark-thirty in the morning for a change :)
