Pulled the trans with the blown OD and reverse, scavenged the billet servos and accumulator out of them along with the built valvebody. Ready to install with new torque converter into the refreshed second tranny along with Oregon Performance clutches and bands, Superior front band strut, Sonnax rear band +.125” strut and a manual OD solenoid override.

Hooked
Finally got my king 2.5's installed. Took it up the road to the desert for a quick shake down. All I can say is I'm in trouble. I'm going to over drive my axles and break or bend them...haha. They replaced my 5100's and there is absolutely no comparison.

Caught the Bug
New ball joints. Went with Synergy. If we follow-through with a lift and larger than 33” on our JK, then ProSteers next. For a JK, leveling lift, and 33s, I figure Synergy’s more than adequate.

It was my first time doing ball joints. While I’ve done all manner of other things, I just hadn’t done ball joints. Almost qualifies as a ‘fun’ job. Passenger lower was a real challenge. Ton of pressure, heated the knuckle, tried liquid wrench, some banging....wouldn’t budge. Stopped for dinner, went out and whacked the knuckle a few more times. Let loose. Sounded like a gun shot, dust floating...
