Replaced driver’s side hub assembly tonight. Old one was shot so close to three weeks ago I bought one at the dealership (at a discounted price) as I needed it next day. Unfortunately after only 1000 miles it turned out to be bad too. Ordered another new one from Jeremy. Thanks for getting it to me so quickly, @Disciple Off Road !

Nice. I ordered a set of OEM last week

Only two times I’ve actually had hubs fail is one that I beat to hell for 18 months and one that was bad within the first couple weeks.

Hoping I don’t experience the latter again.

Oh nice!! I actually though about this the other day if you ended up just doing it. Did you have to add body mounts?

No just pulled the rear three body bolts loosened up the rest raised the body a couple inches.
Trimmed the pinch welds. It’s tight without a body lift but I have just enough room. Still sucked for a 60 year old fat man

I should have done that transmission fluid drain and fill a long while back. The transmission hasn’t ever been this smooth.

Responding to myself. I should have done this long ago. I’ve done 1500 miles since the change. Prior to this I had some weird lags in upshifting. Now, smooth as a Lexus.


All of that to say. I don’t care what the bean counters say at these corporations, transmission fluid isn’t lifetime. Keep it fresh.

Changed out my shocks. These are the Fox 2.5 shocks. Wow these feel nice on the road.
