Took a ride up to the Pioneertown Mountains Preserve and hiked Pipes Canyon with my wife & dogs.

It was colder than a well diggers ass! 34F and 20 mph wind with stronger gusts. The little creek we followed was frozen.

At the end of the trail there's some ruins of a onyx mine and the miner's cabin. We used this for some shelter and had our lunch.

That's a nice place Dave. I remember when we used to be able to wheel up Pipes Canyon. Had some memorable times there, especially the snow runs.

On one hand, I hate that it's closed, but on the other hand, it may be the only reason the sights are still there to see.

Got inspired by JJ151 and went to green sands today. I haven’t been there since I was a teenager... and even though my wife has grown up here her entire life, this was her first time there. I made the mistake of taking the coastal roads which are pretty beat up... but I had fun with it despite my wife and kids being scared shitless.

Some wild horses made their morning rounds around our spot and on the beach while the kids made some kind of shelter out of drift wood.

It has a bed and I got water jugs an some other stuff do a ton of camping after all so this just isnt much different

Finished na .. but enough that I can function out of it .. specially with me still having all my camping gear .. the bonus to it is I can figure out the needs before the wants ..
Tossed up some pink panther insulation (Owen's Corning) , got a counter down one side an a bed up in the back .. reality is I dont need much..

Sunday to Sequoia National Forest for some snow wheeling.
