An interesting perspective of Hoover Dam…the spillway. Zoom in on the picture of the record high water in ‘83…the spillway hasn’t seen any water in a long time. I remember renting a boat in Lake Mead about 12 years ago and took my family to the bouy line…the waterline was much higher then.

Gordy's Hill OHV area today just outside Socoro NM. Feels good to be back into the desert wheeling! This area really reminded me of wheeling through last chance canyon out in CA growing up.

So true. We moved to NM almost 7 years ago and only just recently started driving further west. This was a bit over a week ago – quick trip to Flagstaff and the Grand Canyon.

Went and removed six trees, a bunch of branches and limbs, and did some sightseeing along the way.
The USFS is extremely understaffed. Sign your Jeep clubs up for the Adopt A Trail program. If we don’t keep them open they sure as hell aren’t going to.

When I lived in the desert I wheeled a couple times a week. Since I moved up here the trails are only open from June or July to September or October.
The one we cleared yesterday won’t open (to the public) until the middle of next month.

I guess I forgot to post up a trip report from the Molina Ghost Run that I did a couple weeks ago up at Hollister Hills. Couple pics from then:
