Caught the Bug
Awesome day today with some great members. I gotta say that was the first time I’ve ever wheeled in hail and lightning. Awesome to see Jerry all smiles in his new rig. Let’s just say I’m looking for some new fenders and a new rear driveshaft after today. [emoji51] sorry for the terrible pictures, I didn’t get out in the rain much.

Great to meet you and wheel with you today. I hope the fender is in the back, and didn't fly off on the way home. Sorry to hear you have driveshaft woes.

You missed some good stuff later in the day, too bad you couldn't have stayed, but again, we just got to the motel a few minutes ago.

It was great meeting you. Looking at the pictures I’m bummed we had to bail. Definitely need to do that again soon! Yeah the fender made it home. Figured it was better to remove it then watch it fly off on the interstate! [emoji4]

Today was an epic day.

It poured rain a good part of the day, and conditions were sloppy. It didn't stop Andy, Josh, Bobby and I from having a great day running some tough trails.

We had broken fenders, Andy had three flats, well, blew three different beads anyway. He also had a broken brake line, and spent most of the day wishing for mud terrain tires, in a 37" size, since most of the ruts were too deep for his 35s.

Winches got a workout, tow straps got worked, and everyone got wet and muddy. Lots of tippy spots were crossed, and trees and rocks dodged. I also scored a cool copilot, as Winston rode with me all day.

At the very end, a brake line got pinched on Vengeance and started leaking, but it didn't stop us from finishing. Hopefully I will be able to get a replacement that will work tomorrow.

Bobby was hard core.

Texted me Friday night that he couldn't make it, had no front driveshaft.
Saturday morning, texts he is on the way.

Borrowed a driveshaft from a friend's Jeep so he could drive out and wheel the shit out of his JL for a day!

That's a good friend indeed.
