Very true... Can't deny it one bit. But do you believe everything you see on the Internet?? Maybe these are just random pictures from google? :D

I like my guns, the ones Ive built are works of art in my eyes. I get compliments Everytime I go to the range.

Would you think twice before entering if you saw this parked in my driveway?

I agree 100% I was just playing devils advocate. My guns are like my children haha everyone is special! If you take the time to build it, it makes it that much better and you would be a lot more proud of your weapon.

I gotta get one of those in my dually...
And the guy that owns that truck probably has a room like this

Buying a milspec heavy barrel for the Rem 700 soon.

Sad thing is....you can never defend your family, home or yourself anymore with a gun without 50 people with pens coming after your ass and then having to pay your life savings to hire another penman to protect you from the others :grayno:

Took me a minute to understand what you meant, but in the process I had this awesome picture of 50 pen wielding maniacs chasing 1 man with a gun lol

Only sharing four of them because the other 15 are in a safe in the basement and these were in my closet....ImageUploadedByWAYALIFE1378952451.604914.jpg

If I may ask, what is the budget you are building within?

Ok gun guys. I've had my eye on a LaRue OBR 7.62 for a while. So what say you...are they worth the price and wait? I don't plan on buying multiple ARs. I want to buy one, a very good one, and don't want to end up wishing I had bought something better.

LaRue makes a good AR I wouldn't buy it in 7.62 I'd get it in 5.56. I like Noveske and Wilson Combat. I waited 12 months for one of my AR's. I prefer mine with a 1/7 twist. Can't go wrong with any of them.

Something of that quality and caliber I would not run cheap ammo thru... With .308 at a +/- $1 a round if you've got $$$$ to blow thru $30-40 a magazine in under a minute I say go for it!!

LaRue, Noveske, BCM, WOA, JP, LWRC are just a few very good quality firearms mfg's

Stick to a 5.56/.223. With the proper barrel and quality ammo you can shove a round up a fleas ass at +500yds with a lil ol .22 caliber projectile.

I can't justify the price for those LaRues, some guys can. If your life depends on that rifle on a daily basis then hell yes it's justified.

If it were me I'd buy a Nice Bravo Company and do some mods to it to make it how you like it. Spend the extra $$$$ on ammo. Believe it or not AR's are very much like jeeps. They have a HUGE aftermarket following, you can make it any size, color and shape you want to make it yours. But in the end it's still an Ar15... Jeep. :)

My suggestion to you:

Well made and beautiful.

I would stick with 223 for the first rifle, much easier to shoot accurately.
Could always add a 6.5 Grendel upper if you want to put more weight on target or longer range.

The only reason to go for larger caliber would be for long range shooting, past 600yds.(260remington over 308 IMHO)
Unless you want to make noise...

Just my :twocents:

I love my Laure 5.56 with a passion, but if I was to get a new 7.62 AR other that the RRA I have it would be a GA Precision GAP10 with a 20" barrel most likely ....... http://www.gaprecision.net/ga-precision-2013-custom-rifles/ga-precision-g.a.-precision-gap-10-.html

But that being said before I bought the JK I was on the hunt for a 6.5 Grendel which ballistic wise is just as good as the 308 out to the 700ish range and for around here that is way enough for me and since the 6.5 is built on a 5.56 chassis most 5.56 stuff works on them.

Not really sure why all of you are willing to show off some (or all) of your gun stash/collection on the "World Wide Web."
Barbara Boxer is watching! (at least those in California)
